Don't be funny: intro to clowning (workshop)  Spend three days immersed in the wonderful world of theatre-clown with award-winning comic and clown Josh Glanc. Learn how to be more open, present and real on stage. Don't try and be funny. Just be with us, open and honest, let us see your inner idiot - embrace your sense of play and joy on stage. Designed for those with some performance experience, this workshop dives into the fundamentals of clowning.  In these three days participants will work on being sensitive to audience responses, listening deeply, and letting their true selves be seen. These essential skills are invaluable for stand-ups and improvisors, helping to create a genuine connection with audiences. Practice relaxing and being comfortable on stage being seen. 

Josh Glanc trained at École Philippe Gaulier and other renowned schools, brings his acclaimed expertise to guide you through these techniques. His Edinburgh Fringe show recently earned a nomination for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award.

The three day workshop will run from 10am to 4pm each day with a 1 hour lunch break. Total cost: £180 for 3 days.

DRINKS & MORE

Our adjoining bar, Barrel Bar, is open from 3pm on Fridays and Saturdays and at least 1 hour before every show every other day. It serves a wide selection of drinks, including locally-sourced beers, cocktails, and spirits. 

Table service is available in the venue throughout the show, so you can get drinks delivered straight to your seat without missing a thing. Order via the QR codes positioned next to your seat. Not applicable for all shows.
