THE WORKSHOP

The ability to use your body in improv will give you infinite access to compelling characters and robust scenes. In this two-part workshop, you'll get out of your head and into your body, activating all the dormant creativity hiding in your fingertips. See how dynamic physicality for your characters will inspire connection, imagination, voice, philosophy, game and more. Day One will give you tools to unlock your untapped well of physicality. Day Two will apply all of this new learning into scenework and active play. You will receive personalized feedback and have a ton of fun!

This is a TWO-DAY workshop and students must attend Day One to be admitted to Day Two. 

Prerequisites: At least one level of prior improv training is recommended.

About the leader: Jiavani can be seen doing improv streaming on the internet with Dropout TV or live in Los Angeles at the UCB Theater. Film/TV credits include Between Two Ferns: The Movie and Dead to Me on Netflix, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO, Reno 911!, and more. Voice credits include Digman! on Comedy Central, We Baby Bears on Cartoon Network and guesting on podcasts such as Comedy Bang Bang, The Neighborhood Listen and Mega. Jiavani is co-producer of the Gaysian AF show, a variety show in the Asian AF family.
