THE WORKSHOP
Want to up your Harold game by making conceptual Harolds? Using the suggestion, this workshop will break apart the word to explore concepts that make the Harolds feel unique! Have your third beats make a statement about your Harold! Have memorable Harolds that will make people say "you had to be there!".

About the leader: Oscar Montoya is an actor, comedian, and hip hop dancer living in Los Angeles. He won a Critics Choice award for his work as Richie in the HBO/Starz series Minx, and played Oscar the Garbage Man in the A24 film Dicks: The Musical. He is also a host of the podcasts “Inside the Disney Vault,”, "Eurovangelists", “Spanish Aquí Presents”, "Drag Her" and “Podcast Killed the Video Star.” He is a teacher and performer at the Uprights Citizens Brigade Theater and performs in improv teams Pisces and Rita Repulsa

Monkey Barrel Comedy has been ‘Scotland’s Best Comedy Venue’ since 2020 (Chortle Awards) and was described by The List as “a year-round Edinburgh institution”. It has over 500 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, making it one of the city’s top-rated year-round attractions.
The club was home to both of 2022's Edinburgh Comedy Awards winners, Best Comedy Show 2023 and Best Comedy Show and Best Newcomer 2024. It has been described as the "Beating Heart" of the Fringe by The Telegraph and “the best comedy club in the world” by comedian Olga Koch.

Monkey Barrel Comedy is situated in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. Our rooms are located on opposite sides of the street at the top end of Blair Street, just off the Royal Mile. Our venues can be easily accessed by bus or taxi from South Bridge or by foot from the Cowgate or the High Street.
