Facts May Vary from Liverpool will create an award-worthy mockumentary universe around an audience suggestion, complete with earnest talking heads, wildly unqualified experts, and a documentarian who is probably in way over their head. Then, just as the characters in a great Russian play yearn for purpose in the face of quiet despair, Edinburgh’s hometown heroes Chekhov's Fun yearn to bring you hilarious long form improv in a montage format.

Chekhov's Fun features Craig, David, Em, Jonny, and Shona, all based in Edinburgh, who between them have years of experience performing at the Edinburgh Fringe and Edinburgh International Improv Festval, as well as across the globe from Canada to Iceland to New Zealand.

Facts May Vary from Liverpool's The Atom Improv bring you a fully improvised documentary on stage. This brave “crew” follows the story wherever it goes, whether that’s a sit-down interview with a man who claims to have invented Tuesday or a high-stakes investigation into suspiciously competitive cow herding.

Monkey Barrel Comedy has been ‘Scotland’s Best Comedy Venue’ since 2020 (Chortle Awards) and was described by The List as “a year-round Edinburgh institution”. It has over 500 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, making it one of the city’s top-rated year-round attractions.

Our adjoining bar, Barrel Bar, is open from 3pm on Fridays and Saturdays and at least 1 hour before every show every other day. It serves a wide selection of drinks, including locally-sourced beers, cocktails, and spirits.
