Chris Kent is back with a brand-new show packed with his trademark laid-back storytelling, sharp observations and brilliantly relatable takes on modern life.

Kids’ activities are taking over the calendar, getting older brings its own little surprises, and the modern world seems determined to diagnose absolutely everything. And Chris and his wife are still trying to expand the family — because apparently life wasn’t complicated enough already.

Add in the small battles of everyday life, including trying to keep the bamboo under control, and Chris has plenty to talk about.

MONKEY BARREL COMEDY

Monkey Barrel Comedy has been ‘Scotland’s Best Comedy Venue’ since 2020 (Chortle Awards) and was described by The List as “a year-round Edinburgh institution”. It has over 500 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, making it one of the city’s top-rated year-round attractions.

DRINKS & MORE

Our adjoining bar, Barrel Bar, is open from 3pm on Fridays and Saturdays and at least 1 hour before every show every other day. It serves a wide selection of drinks, including locally-sourced beers, cocktails, and spirits.
